Communication and Public Affairs
The Communication and Public Affairs division is also home to the Chamber's public relations, special events and publications efforts, and the division coordinates activities for the Military Affairs and USS

Entrepreneurism & Small Business

The Entrepreneurism & Small Business Division of the Chamber of Commerce's mission is to enhance and nurture the innovative entrepreneurial environment and ensure that both the tools and the necessary economic climate are available to assist small and emerging businesses to grow and create jobs. 

 The Economic Growth division manages the Chamber's Home-Based Business and CCET events. The division also manages the Duke City Dozen Awards program and the Chamber's member-to-member discount program, which offers discounts on products and services to Chamber members. The Leadership Division is charged with the responsibility of:
  • Contributing to the community’s pool of voluntary leaders who desire to enhance economic development and improve the quality of life in the greater Albuquerque area through community service;
  • Assisting young leaders in finding their niche in the business world, determining which career ladder they would like to climb and how far up the ladder they desire to go; and providing opportunities to insure a successful assent.
  • Providing leaders,emerging and seasoned, with ongoing opportunities to serve and to grow their leadership skills on an ongoing basis.
The Division aspires to accomplish these objectives by directing Leadership Albuquerque and Youth Leadership program ; driving the work of the Young Executives Association and providing administrative support to the Leadership Albuquerque Alumni Association ; hosting, in collaboration with other business associations, an annual full day Leadership Conference in May of each year.

Workforce Development
The Workforce division performs to connect businesses more closely to local and state workforce systems and to the institutions delivering training for those systems in order to better align current and future training with the needs of the workplace.  This division will also monitor the pre-K through higher education reform effort to ensure that New Mexico has a world class public education system for every child.  In doing so, the Chamber has partnered with APS to create the Albuquerque Reads tutoring program.  To learn more about the Chambers education reform initiatives, click here.

Membership
The Membership Division keeps in touch with Chamber members and makes sure their needs are met. The Membership Division is responsible for issuing new Chamber memberships, renewing existing memberships, and providing the Chamber's members with a variety of services, including mailing lists for targeted mailings, member-to-member discounts, networking events, and much more.

Business Advocacy & Government Relations
The Business Advocacy & Government Relations division is responsible for the Chamber's lobbying efforts at the New Mexico State Legislature and also creates position papers, which are issued to clarify the position of the Chamber on events that impact the business community. The Business Advocacy & Government Relations division also holds events designed to keep the business community informed about what New Mexico's elected representatives are involved with at the State Legislature and on Capitol Hill.
