Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce Mission Statement
The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce works every day to make our community a place where businesses can grow and prosper where people want to raise their families and where tourists want to visit. As the voice of business since 1917, we envision New Mexicans living in safe neighborhoods, working in rewarding careers at thriving businesses, while their children attend great schools and enjoy their leisure time in one of the most beautiful regions on Earth.
Approach to the Chamber's Goals
Our focus here at the Chamber is on strengthening Albuquerque and New Mexico's economy; adding private sector jobs and meaningful economic development. Our main points of execution are as follows...
- Extensive benchmarking and identified best practices from other chambers
- Participation in national efforts studying these same issues for chambers
- Competitive Analysis
- 10 year review of income/expense results and events influencing outcomes
From these points we have concluded that we must have a unique value proposition, initiate the less is more approach, act as convener for our community, and increase participation in meaningful ways. We have created sector teams to handle the most important and timely issues that our state is currently experiencing.
